People have got to understand that location and us, the fans, are the clubs only identity. Everything else is liable to change. If that change leads to success, I'm for it.

:oops:Yes,let's just bin many years of history;our stripes are long associated with our famous old club, and part of our identity as a club.No way in hell should we ever change that.

Bleed a tradition out of the club, FFS man get a grip

Keep them, there's so much tradition. For example Athletic Bilbao wear red and white because their clubs founder came from Sunderland. It's part of our identity. Agree they can change the SoL but the kit is who we are, our skin
Not that again.[DOUBLEPOST=1382808057][/DOUBLEPOST]
Not a f***ing chance ! No way. I hated the nike effort from the 80's with the red pin stripe :evil:
Le Coq Sportif

Pink and white to emulate the seats.

Then green away colours to represent the horticultural origins of the club's training facilities.

We copied Bilbao

Apparently ship builders from Bilbao came to the north east

No. Bilbao colours came from Sunlun. When Sunlun started, they were potless and were given a set if strips by south bank Albion in middlesbrough. That's why the players look like deck chairs or a strip of Colgate
