I'd be all for a takeover.. but I'd be very sensitive about companies trying to "change our identity" in any way.

They can re-name the SoL but that's about it.

Changing the red and white stripes is breaking a tradition lasting possibly a century or more. It's part of what makes us who we are and I wouldn't want to part with that.

Keep them, there's so much tradition. For example Athletic Bilbao wear red and white because their clubs founder came from Sunderland. It's part of our identity. Agree they can change the SoL but the kit is who we are, our skin
