DRS is a great idea but its badly used
Umpires call is ridiculous frankly. If its out, it's out. If its not, it's not

When DRS was introduced that was my opinion too, but if that rule was introduced I think it would lead to a hell of a lot more "worth a try" reviews where the reviewer was sure enough that the worst case scenario was umpires call.If they want to keep umpires call, so be it. But if it goes to umpires call you should be allowed to retain your appeal
I agreeOn the face of it that makes a lot of sense, but there is actually a good reason why Umpires call should remain.
If teams can query every LBW decision and have it over ruled because the ball is clipping the wicket, then there will by definition be a lot more LBW dismissals than there were previously. Games will tend to be shorter because of this, bowlers figures will tend to be better and batsmens averages will tend to be worse. This would make comparing players figures across the generations difficult as it would clearly be more difficult to post a test match average of say 50 under the new system than under the old. The umpires call rule also stops some of the frivolous referrals.

I agree
But just tighten the requirement to build in probability of technology failure
51% of ball hitting = out
49% = not out
Or something similar
Umpires call allows gaming of the system, 2 identical balls could have very different outcomes....and at the end of the day it's out or not out
