LVCC D1 - Derbyshire v Durham

In my opinion now is the time to accelerate. Two well set batters with the old ball, it has to be now. The last 10 overs on cricinfo show we've yielded just 18 runs, poor at this stage.

Surely our overriding concern must be to ensure we don't lose.

Personally I have no idea how the wicket is playing, these two could be battling against a seaming ball. It is easy for us to tell them to get on with it, but another to do it in the middle.

Oh aye, you're right. But these lads should be seeing it well, they've put on 136 together and the ball is 66 overs old.

That said, Smudger's just hit back to back boundaries.

40 overs to score 186. Yorkshire are 250-4.[DOUBLEPOST=1379078615][/DOUBLEPOST]Williamson out at Hove without adding to his overnight score.

Right, I knar I'm a moany fucker but we're 20-1 off the last 10. What's more, the Scotty/Smudge partnership, as good as it was, scored at 2.57. It all makes me wonder just what the hell our plans are..... Cause we're going nowhere fast. Are we just accepting the draw? Cause if that is the case, we're now ruining our chances of maximum batting points.[DOUBLEPOST=1379080388][/DOUBLEPOST]29 overs to score 171. Perhaps we're now only thinking of 350??
