Close - 345 lead. 4 wickets left. I reckon smash it for 10 overs in the morning and then declare. If they don't declare overnight.

Umpires talking to ground staff at the end, hope to god we're not looking at a points deduction for a poor pitch

more runs means more attacking fields tomorrow. we can look at the 24 hour forecast at 10 tomorrow and decide whether to thrash for 10 overs or hoy them straight in at 10:30

i'm happy with that, the "have a go no at Colly matter how well things are going" brigade may not be, but that is always their way

To be fair to Colly, there is no real need to make a decision until the morning. The forecast may change which may affect the decision.[DOUBLEPOST=1378313108][/DOUBLEPOST]345 lead at the
close. Another good day for us all things considered.

That's a great point regarding the weather. The site I use (XC Weather) had heavy rain all day Friday when I looked at it this morning. However now, it's showing rain from 10am onwards. By tomorrow morning it may have shifted even more to allow us a session atleast.

I still say we should have a 10 over biff in the morning. That'll get the lead up around about 400 and will leave us 84 overs in the day to attack.

13 wickets fell today. Usually inspectors come out for 15. can't see this pitch being labelled sub-standart.

Isn't this the same wicket they played the test on?

26 wickets though. Hey, I'm not suggesting there should be an inquest. Just saying what happened at the end regarding the umpires. Hopefully it was something completely innocent. Like maybe asking where the best place for a lapdance is around CLS. ;-)

Early start makes the overnight declaration more appealing. Am feeling positive. Job done tomorrow evening then feet up from the top of the table.

not sure if its the test wicket but ME said on radio that it was the one used for the T20[DOUBLEPOST=1378316780][/DOUBLEPOST]
BBC headline 'Sussex keep the pressure on Durham' ;)

"Yorks still in driving seat for title";)[DOUBLEPOST=1378316943][/DOUBLEPOST]

And although skipper Collingwood fell lbw to opposite number Chris Nash's off-spin, the partnership guaranteed that third-placed Sussex will face a big fourth-innings run-chase for the victory in a game they badly need to win to boost their chances of winning the title.

you couldn't make it up

Collingwood is doing an absolutely unbelievable job.

Been on holiday for a while, first time I have had the chance to post, every player who has to come into the side is making valuable contributions.

surely rocky's 94 suggests you can bat on it

I don't think you declare just 345 ahead and only 6 down, with 2 full days remaining, however much you think it's going to rain. Another 44 more runs at the very least.

Could be showers tomorrow and then heavy rain Friday

Get em in Twotty

They are nowhere near the batting quality of Yorks
