Durham u17s taking on Kent u17s in the final of the county championship A divsion. Match is being played at Arundel over two days. From Durham twitter feed, Durham finished the first day 280 all out from 96 overs. Burnham scored 124 and Braithwaite 56. More good signs from the academy players.
 

arundel? not been before and was gutted to miss when we went down there a year or two back.

i wonder if kent u17s are full of durham lads too?
 
Brilliant win. I'm told that one Durham lad bowled 15 overs, 13 maidens and took 5 for 7. Remarkable effort. Young Jack Burnham scored 124. Durham have some excellent players in their junior/academy ranks.

Yes, thanks for that. There are some pictures on facebook of the win. A lovely team picture and one of Burnham with the trophy and his medal. There is also a short video of Burnham getting his hundred. I'd like too see him play live and might make a point of going to Hetton Lyons next season to watch their firsts.

I think we are related to him. My Uncle was called Jack Burnham and was from Langley Park. Its too much of a co-incidence. I'm sure there will be a relationship somewhere with his Father.
