LVCC Yorkshire v Durham

Definitely a championship decider and I'd make Durham slight favourites because Root and Ballance are with England and Bresnan is injured, 3 players who would probably be automatic selctions for any county. Massive game for Plunkett who might well think he has quite a lot to prove but the game could hinge on the spinners in both second innings.

Root and Ballance missing from the side that beat us....our batsmen actually finding some form....hmmmmmm

13 man squad
Stoneman
Jennings
Borthwick
Smith
Stokes
Collingwood
Richardson
Mustard
Wood
Buckley
Rushworth
Harrison
Arshad

Looks like Stokes for Arshad, don't think they will play just one spinner at scarborough so one of the seamers who bowled so well against Surrey may miss out.

Bollocks to that, seam is our thing

Get a bit of sea fret on the scarbs morning and you can do some damage before it flattens out[DOUBLEPOST=1377597452][/DOUBLEPOST]Yorkie mate reckons Ballance and Bairstow are available[DOUBLEPOST=1377598273][/DOUBLEPOST]Yorkshire 14-man squad to face Durham at Scarborough: Johnny Bairstow, Gary Ballance, Jack Brooks, Andrew Gale ©, Andrew Hodd, Phil Jaques, Alex Lees, Adam Lyth, Steven Patterson, Liam Plunkett, Richard Pyrah, Adil Rashid, Ryan Sidebottom, Kane Williamson.

Looks like you maybe right looking at that Yorkshire squad only one spinner Rashid and he is a bit like Borthwick these days, more off a batting all rounder.

I'm hoping Yorks will feel the pressure a bit more than us, in front of a full house

Worth emphasising that anyone thinking of going needs to be there early or they might not get in

Can be dodgy at first but you always have to a scarborough

very harsh on arshad, i would have had him over richardson in that side, although since we've just lost a wicket already, selection is spot on

Generally the top 4 are nowhere near strong enough but we know that. Without DB at 3 we are always likely to be 2 down for 20.

Sorry was meant to be Chanderpaul. It has never been addressed since then and that was 4 years ago.

right i follow, likewise i was gutted when we didnt bring him back, it was kind of made acceptable by the explosive emergance of stokes the following year which may not have happened had chanderpaul still been around. however he seems to be regressing into a big hitting bowler at the same time as borthwick becoming a pure batsman.

plenty of promise in the side, just needs that guaranteed anchor of the crease somewhere in the top order [or anywhere tbf]
