Didnt realise he had been released...

A long line of DCCC allrounders who never made the grade here, Danny Law, Ian Pattinson, Ryan Robinson, Marc Symingtom, Sean Birbeck, Gary Scott et all...

Garry Park

If you look at some of the garbage keeper batsmen we have had since we became a first class county you cant help but think if Park was born in a different (Phil Mustard-less) era he would have played a lot of games for Durham.

Streets ahead of the likes of Andy Pratt, Ligertwood, Fothergill, Scott, etc.

Decent all round cricketer Park, decent bowler and great fielder too. Playing for Unicorns at the minute.

Law didn't come through the ranks at Durham, did he? Thought he came from Essex?

bit harsh on gidman, doing very well these days is he not?

i know his first year was a success, tbh i've no idea if he kept up that form or not...

He is, but he never made the grade here... he was playing YB40 cricket, got offered a new deal but he wanted to play all formats iirc.

Not had the season like the first year but still doing well, struggled with an injury this season.

Andy Pratt was actually one of the best keepers in the game. Agreed his batting wasn't great at that level but probably the best keeper Durham have actually had since going First Class

Pratt was the Best gloveman i have seen at Durham, but his batting was weak. Waited in the seconds for years because Speight was a better bat and we basically did not have any spinners so standing up to the stumps was rarely required, then when he did get his chance he probably knew he did not have long because a teenage Mustard was smacking it all over for the Academy and seconds, once Musttard got his chance Pratt was finished. Often wondered why his brother Gary never tried keeping as he was never a bowler of any note but probably even more agile than Andy in the field.

Hes my cousin, been at leicestershire a while now,my mother was talking to him the other week he was back up here on holiday, said hes enjoying it down there,i dont know much about cricket myself though so feck knows if hes a good player
