[the ashes] test 3. Manchester

But to be fair to England, the first job is not to lose the ashes. So can see why they are doing it.

However, for me unless we start going at them it's 2-1 unless the rain saves us.

So ha'way rain.

We draw this test by taking the sting out of their attack and the spring in their tail by whacking them all over the place. We lose this by playing for the draw and surrendering to the circumstances.

This is the equivalent of MON's team going 1-0 up, everyone sit on the goal line and stop them scoring. React, react, react.

I fancied watching a bit cricket but I guess rain is the best thing for England.

Seen summit on the Guardian site that they might be getting Billy Bowden to umpire in the remaining two tests
They need him in apart from aleem dar these other 3 aren't great umpires.

They need to fast track in some more elite umpires from other nations aside from England and Australia

Still going to be enough play in the day for Australia to win if they're going some :-(

nah, don't think so. i reckon the best of the weather has passed and the rain should set in or at least keep the covers on for most of the afternoon.... hopefully...

this image is an hour or so old anarl so that rain band is even closer...
