Yes, another Durham Test match thread. As we're getting closer im beginning to look to my budget .

How much will things cost? As a ballpark figure?

For example:

Tea/coffee
Lager/beer
Commentary headsets
Burgers/Chips
Other bait - such as a meal (if they have a curry van for instance)
Programme

About 4 quid a pint.
5 quid for the radio headset.
4 quid for a programme

Dinnit care about the others. I can't wait.

I assume we can take food and (non alcoholic) drinks in?

FAQs
Can we bring food and drink into the ground?
Food and non-alcoholic drinks only can be brought into the ground.
No glass packaging or cans please. We do operate a search policy and if these items are found you unfortunately we will have to confiscate them. You may however return these items to your car

Sky commentary headsets were £10 at Old Trafford, didn't see any TMS ones

Im not doing very well here am I.

I thought the BBC and sky coverage were on the same head set, just different frequencies?

The last one I bought was anyway.

Not really

I didn't look at them too closely so I don't know about the multi-frequencies, definitely £10 though

Programmes are usual £5 but don't know if they've upped the price this year for the Ashes.

Regarding a radio headset, here's how to get a free one - join Twelfth Man on ECB website. You get an email before each test with a voucher for a free one. Last year they were also doing free progrmmes as well but seem to have stopped this.

Cheers, I've just signed up.

Might have a job getting a free headset though. It says only 100 available. Worth a try though.

A couple of daft questions:

1. I've got one of these headset thingies lying in a drawer from a test a couple of years ago, is it worth taking or do they tweak the frequencies to make them usable only during a single day or test?

2. Is the phone reception good enough in there these days to make streaming audio / video a viable option? SkyGo and a load of unused data allowance would seem to be a better option than audio alone.
