Get 5 french sticks, cut it in half and put 2 cans in = 10 cans. (Doesn't always work)

Going to the first four, and maybe the fifth if there is one. This had to be done, despite not being cheap.
What a vindication this match is for all those who led the bid for first class status twenty odd years ago. It was not a foregone conclusion at the time, as I found out myself after having wrote a shed load of letters in support of the application, something a lot did at the time. Some of the replies were not encouraging at all and if we had failed then we might be applying again about now. Maybe.
So well done Don Robson and the rest who were involved. Two CC titles, a one day trophy, a steady stream of important players provided for England and now what looks like it will be the pivotal test match in an Ashes series says you were right, and so was the establishment for taking a leap of faith with us.
Just need a bit of decent weather now!

good post that... i'd love to be there for one day, even for a session. it should be rightly packed out for each day. such a beautiful ground and a great occasion.
