Cant understand Tremlett ahead of Onions, especially with a test on his home track coming up.

Tremlett has taken 19 wickets at 39.63, Onions 35 at 23.20. What more does he have to do?!
Tremlett has 49 at 26 and onions 32 at 29

Also tremletts came in 17 innings(11 matches) to onions 16 (9 matches)

Gramw was talking about form this season not their test careers
fair enough, fwiw I would have already played onions this series but obviously tremlett has impressed in the nets.

Injuries have fucked over both of them like otherwise you'd think they have played far more than 20 test between them.

Can't see any changes unless KP drops out for Taylor.

Doubt Panesar will play even if the pitch is as it was and a massive turner as Root can play the 2nd spinner role well enough.

Cook
Root
Trott
Pietersen
Bell
Bairstow
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Anderson

Ha'wayyyyyyyyy! 8-)

Rain around apparently, might go 5 days.

f***ing hell. Really?

It's been absolutely bouncing down for the last half an hour, but stlll sunny. Going to be like that all week apparently.

Awesome, been bone dry for 3 weeks then the Ashes test match comes along.....

I got caught in a hell of a shower when I was on a run this morning, I'd already had to turn back because my usual route along the Mersey was flooded, it was 3/4 metres higher than usual this morning
