It annoys me that players play out of their own counties like this. Cheapens first class cricket for me.

Then again it's a symptom of all this T20 going on now that the ECB cream themselves over.

Totally agree, it's almost becoming like some sort of reality talent trial. You play for who you are contracted to and no-one else bar your country IMO.

The whole overseas player thing is a joke aswell, players coming over for 6 weeks then f***ing off and being replaced by someone else for 6 weeks and so on. It should be 1 player per county for the FC season and at least 1 for the T20 campaign.

The price of having a good national side, unfortunately.

They had Compton playing for Worecestershire a couple of weeks ago.

They're not playing a championship game so whats the problem

As much as it seems odd having players get a game for different counties, I think it's a credit to the relaxed 'it's just a game' attitude of cricket. Particularly when compared to other sports.

Don't see the problem myself.

Giving the sub some practice against the enemy in case KP doesn't make it? Seems pretty sensible to me.

I imagine it will downgraded to a List A game, so no harm done.

Agreed, although more so that it's a first class game rather than the t20 stuff he'd be playing for Notts. Also, when do counties play a full strength side against tourists?

I agree the overseas player situation is a joke at present but I have no idea what any of this has to do with t20 and the ECB's obsession with it

Done himself no harm. Jackson Bird also had a very good game, likely to get the nod.

Unlike Agar and Lyons, looks like Hamilton Brown took a liking to them. Actually Lyon's pulled his figures back quite well, 18 overs for 65, Agar took 1-48 from 8

Hove isn't a great spinning pitch iirc

But aye Hamilton Brown tonked them by the looks of it
