To sum the T20 season up


Stoneman has been shit
Mustard has been brill but had A shocker here.
Borthwick has been shite with the bat okay when he rarely bowled
Smiths bowling & fielding has been good, batting shit
Muchalls had a couple of decent knocks, rest shit
Stokes has been good with the bat
Pringle has been OK with the ball
Breese has done well with the bat
Wood has been very poor
Rushworth has been barely OK

Onions / Colly / Richo have barely been involved.

Great win tonight.

Going from what I've seen (only 3 games) Pringle and Wood are a long way from being good enough for the T20. Borthwick batted well at Lancashire but like the top order with the exception of Mustard, just doesn't seem to be capable of scoring quick runs without smashing straight down long on/midwicket/etcs throats.

Wood is a good prospect but just doesnt seem suited to limited overs cricket, no big deal, a lot of great cricketers arent (Mike Atherton? Ahem.)

Pringle usually grabs wickets but can be expensive. I'd like to see him bat top 5 on occasions just to ascertain if he is capable of a decent score. Looks set to take Breeses' place next season.

I agree, Wood looks to have done really well in the championship but in t20 he just puts it on/just short of a length, he should improve.

As you say I haven't seen Pringle bat other than when he's got a couple of balls to score 20 or something. He has picked up wickets but has been very expensive. Again he could get better but at the minute the pair of them are costing Durham 10 an over and you need better than that.

Pringle went at less than 6 an over tonight and Im fairly sure he has been quite economical overall in limited overs cricket? I may be wrong mind
 
would like to see Pringle get more of a chance with the bat, Benks picked him out at the start of the season as somebody who could become a key one day player his season. For a young lad on a development contract his bowling has been fine but not had a chance to show his power hitting which impressed Benks and something we lack.

I could understand why he'd bad 8 or 9 in 40 over cricket but T20... ffs get him up the order!!!!! Sending Nurdlers like Smith & Muchall in at 4/5 - rubbish!
