1st Ashes Test

Remember it well as that test was about as good as it got in that series.

That was my first Ashes series and I thought that was a cracking series. Admittedly the Lord's test that year was utter crap as it rained for about 3 and a half days. That series finale at the Oval is one of my favourite Ashes memories.

That was also the last 6 match Ashes series.

We humped them at Edgbaston, got saved by the rain at Lord's, got hammered at OT, Headingley and Trent Bridge and then saved face by skittling them out at the Oval when they needed about 130 to win the series 4-1.

Eng 180 & 163
Aus 220 & 104
Eng won by 19 runs
