Weetabix with butter on

We got into a discussion in my pub recently and I mentioned I liked to eat Weetabix with butter on as a kid. Somebody else said they made crisp sandwiches. Did anyone else here do this?

Nope but its 40 years since I was a kid. 2 other people in the pub liked it too lolz.

I've had weetabix with butter & jam on, but not just butter. And crisp sarnies are the 2nd best sarnie there is, after fish fingers.

i remember a lad i went to university with telling me as a kid he had "connie onnie butties" which was condensed milk spread in a sandwich. i think it was a scouse thing

Aye, i remember going through a small phase of weetabix with butter on and my Nana used to make us sugar sarnies and banana sarnies and mashed banana with sugar and evaporated milk. She was from a large Seaham family - miss her muchly

Used to love apple sarnies, another of me das gifts to me.

Never had banana sarnies though, never fancied them.
