He was getting some stick today mind was our Marty. Mind, the fame of having a photo of his that he tweeted a few weeks back published on the main BBC site has gone to his head. ;-)

What was that about? Only heard the last hour or so when I got in from graft.

Just usual banter from the co-commentators, rubbing him about his house portfolio ;-).

The younger lad - Kev Hand? - is probably one of the more knowledgable lads doing commentary this season; behind Dave Braisford (?) of the Yorkies. The commentary has been a breath of fresh air this season, has shown the more knowledgable cricket fans and who the biased fans are. Nothing wrong with either, but if Marty doesn't go to Sussex away then I won't listen as he had nowt good to say about us last season!

Are you not thinking of Dave Bracegirdle at Notts?? He's class crack I think. The Yorkshire bloke is Dave Callaghan and IMO he's canny biased. Decent commentator but not the best. Churchy of Surrey was very good - despite me ribbing him, he took it in the good heart that I'd intended.

I'd be interested to know what the other county fans make of Marty. I lie him like so sod anyone who doesn't!!

Defo the Yorkies lad. Didn't find him biased at all, and was quite knowledgable about the game and also Durham. The Notts lads were canny anarl. The whole thing is completely what the game needed coverage wise. Although you still get it, the monotonous "bowler in, defended, no run" style of commentary is gone and the camaraderie is welcome.

Breath of fresh air. The only thing that now winds me up is BBC 5 Live Sports Extra's constant programme hopping. We're on there today, BUT they cut to the Giro d'Italia for an hour, then they fuck off to Baseball (YES, Baseball) for a couple of hours later on.......

Perhaps I'm just being spoilt like. I knar it's still available online but I can get 5LSE on me DAB at work (if the lads allow it!).

Anyone know how hard/pricey it would be for the BBC to allocate an actual frequency to each stream? Either an FM or MW one?? I'm probably dreaming like but as human beings we always want more!
