First Test - England v NZ

I think the NZ run rate goes to show how poor our batting was

No question. I love NZ but if we're wanting to win the Ashes we shouldn't expect to be doin sp if we have an opening order run rate lower than that of the Kiwis. Early days but so far looks like the same problems as we've had for awhile, over reliant on the middle order and the attack.

Anyone feel like its becoming a bit of a mates club? Finn and Broad have been very hit and miss for along time now and Bresnan has done very little and he's straight back in.

Sorry to disappoint marra. Broad doesn't get dropped, he chooses when he's injured.

Can anyone tell me the last time he got dropped for performance alone? I cant.

I think he was dropped for the rounders just before the India 4-0 series, then suddenly remembered how to bowl again for the proper stuff. Problem is, with so much rounders this summer it would probably come as a big relief for most of them to be dropped and not have to bother with it before focusing on the important stuff against the Aussies.

I'm not sure Finn deserves to be in the firing line just yet, he had a poor series in New Zealand, but all our bowlers did, he played well in India considering how spin friendly the pitches were and hasn't bowled badly today. Broad however has been crap since the India 4-0 series and should definitely make way for one of Tremlett, Bresnan or Onions. Won't happen though, his dad will see to that.

Tremlett's been outstanding whenever I've seen him for England. Actually sorted the body language thing out but he's had a horrific time with injuries.

Has made a very decent contribution to Yorkshire's unexpectedly excellent start to the championship.

India in the winter just gone?? Didn't they drop him for the second spinner? Or have I imagined that?

I think youve made that up mate, cant remember we ever dropping him, unless he drops him self.

Gettin there jimmy lad.

Get a lead

I remember that vagley, but didnt Broad drop himself for the 20/20's as he had a slight knock?

Good early wicket. Piss poor review mind, he was never convinced.

Who wasted the review like? Dont say Golden balls. If I was his teammate, id be pissed off with the amount of reviews he wasted both batting and bowling.
