It's not looking good for Benks, his shoulder has given up the ghost. I hope we haven't seen the last of his playing days.

Since when?
You sound a bit dramatic in your OP Harry.
Website just says a shoulder injury. Doesn't mean his shoulder is finished.
Since it was posted on the Durham website earlier today.
From training though? Or a previous game?
From what I've heard it's the original shoulder injury he had that's gone again through wear and tear.
Jennings to come into the middle order?
They dont seem to want to play Richardson.
A couple more injuries now would leave a massive hole in the CC side. I can understand why they want to play the strongest team in all comps, but I can't help but wonder if it would make sense to rest some of the CC team for one day games and play the lads who are in form for the seconds.
News coming from the ground suggests an operation may be the only solution, I sincerely hope I'm wrong as he will a massive miss if it's true.
Benks was at Eppleton yesterday watching his Son play for Durham City under 11s. He still hasn't had the operation!!!
He contracted MRSA and will have his operation next week having been on antibiotics. His op was put back because of a virus/infection he has. Bad news for both him and Durham, although he is up on the balcony with the lads at present v Derbyshire.
It was the bairns last game for DC.Benks was at Eppleton yesterday watching his Son play for Durham City under 11s. He still hasn't had the operation!!!
