LVCC D1 - Warwickshire v Durham

It looks like preventing Warks from winning is the aim here

We simply have to bat well

If the pitch is benign this early in the season it's surely gonna be a batsman's dream all summer

LMC still playing up, I can't login on my phone. Mind I'm sure the club will be happy about my exclusion!

It's not that exciting at present. They have a stand-in running it who doesn't have a clue what's going on at the club.

Michelle is arriving soon from Australia so hopefully she'll be more forthcoming.

New ball coming up, 2 quick wickets just got us right back in it. This could end up being our day this. Onions and Rushworth to go through them with the new ball please!

Frustrating to take 3 wickets in no time to have them 237-7 only to let their number 8 and 9 put on a (currently unbroken) 30. Mind saying that. They do average 37 and 27.

Aye, was prolly the batting depth that won the title for them

Don't want to sound negative but if they put on another 60/70 runs they have probably got enough.I can see Durham following on here.

See where you're coming from, especially with our fragile batting lineup - although I'm not sure what the pitch is doing. It could be a belter. Anyone listening to the commentary able to she'd any light on if the comms were saying owt about it??

Reckon Warks will get 350.

I'm also a bit worried about our batting. We'll probably need to rely on the experience of Colly & Benks to dig in.

Looking at early scores last season warks made 250 ish the 1st two edgbaston games, and then 557 against lancs

I think conditions are drier this year

I think we know how it goes. A couple of 20s from the top three, decent runs in the middle order and then a 40 from the one of the bowlers to see us past the follow-on.
