Taking the bairn down to hopefully get the new 20/20 top.

Might take a run down before going into work. Even just from the pics it looks a lot better than last years.

As I keep saying, this whole club shop/cotton traders issue has been dealt with shockingly by the club and resulted in redundanices. Piss poor that it's not opening until 2 weeks after the Somerset game.

Went down earlier on with the bairn and bought him a few items. Not everything is in yet eg the 20/20 tops but already the prices look better and the range of goods is looking better.

Apparently the MCC were up during the winter but they wouldnt get involved as the shop was too small. The club really need to market themselves a lot better.

For some reason there is a huge white hospitality tent down by the old scoreboard and stretching along where the new stand will be. I'm assuming that this is in preparation for the beer festival event that they are having next week.

The club shop is open from today according to the club's twitter feed.
Yes, the 27 April information was wrong. The club know about it and will be correcting the information on the website.

Not sure I'm really keen on the Cotton Traders gear really :-(. Hated how they made the shop into just their gear. Used to love going into the shop 5 or 6 years ago when it was full of alsorts of cricket tat. The Trent Bridge shop is the kind of model to aim for IMO.

Interesting you should say that because I was told that the shop will be for cricket gear only.
