Hope you're right mate, not seen much of this test. Is the pitch still lifeless? Was it bad shots that caused a flood of wickets last night?

I agree only problem is who will score us quick runs. If we did bowl them out Prior has to bat at no3. Hold Compton back for the bore draw.
Note:- We are being very very optimistic thinking we can take 7 wickets in 1st session.
Pretty much. The NZ bowlers got the ball to swing - which our top order batsmen couldn't cope with and that coincided with some shit batting. Prior and Root never looked troubled IMO until Prior's aggressiveness lead to his dismissal, but I didn't so much mind that because his aggressiveness was probably just what we needed. After that they were into the tail.
We still aren't moving it - an interesting point was made by the NZ commentators though who felt England's bowlers were trying too hard to get the ball to swing. The three wickets they lost were mainly due to good aggressive fast bowling. What worried me was that Monty looked f***ing awful too.
We MUST take a minimum of three wickets in the morning session. I'd say any more than 400 to win will be too much - if it's not too much already. The way we capitulated in first innings makes me think we're fucked already.

Think it is. Bowling has been rubbish. No complaints if we get stuffed. They have outplayed us in all departments during this Test. We have been woeful.

yep, it's not a very strong kiwi side either, brought people like fulton in to plug a gap and he gets his maiden test ton and improves his average by around 50%.. they've just said he's batted for 18 hours in this series so far... 3 days!

To be fair he's looked a decent player. Been around a while and appears to no his strengths. Waits for balls in his areas then wacks it. His wagon wheel showed how many runs he's scored on the leg side, especially through mid on, but we just seem to feed him more.
He's waited a long time for his chance and has certainly taken it. Sometimes we just have to say well done.
