last few times i played at marsden there was no one around the place, bar the players..... really quiet ground and always murky, rainy and cold

The one that CLS CC complain about is Durham City. there have been at least 2 incidents with them in recent years, in one incident the police were involved after one of the CLS CC contingent was followed home by an irate Durham City fan when his son was given out. This was junior cricket as well - U15 game IIRC!

Hell forgot about that one!!!

Was at both games, it wasn't the greatest atmosphere with two people really trying to have a go. Nearly ended with punches thrown both games. This was the DCCC supporters I must add.

It started the 2010 season when one of the parents took offence at his son been given out. As he walked of the lad gave the CLS lads a bit of verbal so got a send off.

2011 season the parent brought his brother as well and thats when it kicked off. They thought it was the same umpire as 2010.

Both under 18 games if I remember right.

I wouldnt say abuse or some stick , but one parent questioned the amount of wides i gave in a Junior game at Marsden last season, iirc there was about 30 or 40 extras in their innings

Hylton, or seaham park for me, whenever I've played at these grounds there has been either a load of slack jaws drinking and shouting or the teams themselves have been a load of pricks.

Plenty of abuse on the pitch aswell at other places, I think I just seem to draw a lot of sledging!

Marsden, mentalists.

Don't mind it me though, actually quite enjoy it while im batting, Happened in our cup final for the seconds against Dawdon, keeper wouldn't shut up the entire game, bit him on the arse in the end. :-)

No cheats in Eppleton........

Beat Hylton in a cup game once the lads waited at the gate to wish us good luck in the next round

Ha Ha, we (The Fell) stuffed them both home and away but still they somehow managed to tie us for the DSL 2nd XI title. A one off title decider was played at their place, they fielded their first team includin Jimmy Daley and a few other DCCC players at the time, and duely stuffed us out of site.

one other instance was a few years earlier, one of their batsmen was stumped, he pleaded with the square leg umpire that his foot was ON the line. FUCK OFF son was his reply

Did he need a tetanus after that?

Hutch I remember that game. You keep going on about it on any thread on here. Jimmy Daley and Dhaun Birbeck played. They played all season in the 2nd Team and rightly so THEY WERE 14 YEARS OLD !!!
Learn to lose gracefully and the victories taste sweeter.

There's a certain individual from Shildon who really doesn't like being beat. Or sledged. Or looked at. Or breathed in the direction of  and has offered more than a couple of Brandon youngsters out in the past.
