Supporting Scotch Teams

Scottish football is absolutely shit. God knows why you'd want to endure that if you aren't Scottish.
My dads from glasgow and is a celtic fan had no choice really, same for sunderland my dad moved to crook in the late 60s early 70s and began supporting the lads.

Wouldn't have it any other way.

Anyone who does this is a turncoat IMO. Small minded, small time club behaviour. Imagine if we became a permanent fixture in Europe and played the wankers every season they would sharp fuck that behaviour off and that alone shows how pointless pretending to have an affinity to a jock club actually is.

You egging them on?

If you claim to support two teams then you don't genuinely love either of them - no matter what silly little lies you tell yourself.

It is unpresidented that I 100% agree. As I have aged I care less and less about football. All I give a fuck about now is Sunderland winning.

Fuck it, I'll bite.
The two teams thing, compare it to family, you have the brother you grow up with, regularly lets you down, but you still love the useless prick.
Then when you get older you meet a lass, after the initial excitement there comes a point where you make a conscious decision to leave or stick. You stick cos you realise you have fallen in love.

You don't stop stop seeing your brother, you don't end up choosing, you just carry on.

Nah, it's more like the lasses you meet in your life. If you support two teams, it's pretty much certain that you are hardwired to be a serial adulterer.

So you're trying to say you don't bother going as you get older but someone who follows our club and another club all over is less of a fan than you? Please explain

As i said earlier in the week when those Celtic supporters were wanking themselves silly before Juvé humped them - you can't support 2 clubs - it's impossible - you can have a side you watch for the results or even attend some games but surely you can't hold 2 teams close to your heart. If you can then I would question your support of either

I agree with you on this one.

Oddly enough it was a lass who got me following Sunderland. Never shagged around right enough, but her cousin did look a sort ;)

Either way the chances of split loyalties are far and distant, Ayr are my home team, Sunderland are the team I choose to spend cash following when I can.

I know I'm an 'outsider' here, and am probably the same at Somerset Park these days, but the fact remains there are two results I look for, and one team I pay to watch these days, despite the extra travel and hassles

None of that has any relevance when talking about supporting a football club. It isn't about taste its about loyalty and morals. It's an involuntary reaction. This post only proves my point.

Based on what you have said there you are saying its perfectly normal to grow up supporting Safc then when you realise its shit you start liking man utd because its easier. Basically saying you try to fill that under achieving part of your life with a winning team.

So you're trying to say you don't bother going as you get older but someone who follows our club and another club all over is less of a fan than you? Please explain

No I'm saying keep supporting the team you always loved. Picking a team in another league doesn't exonerate you from looking a glory seeking bellend.

You're a results follower then not a fan. I go to 3-4 away games a year and wouldn't class myself as dedicated as those who go to every game. I would however consider myself as much as a fan because I couldn't give a fuck about other teams results unless they affect our league position or status.
