Your Salix dead like? Looking at how you bat I would go for the GM, county is too concave and that's a lot of wood to lose from the middle of the bat. I found a great blog on it.

The salix is still canny enough but since it was fixed its too light for me. I'll have a look at that website
 
chris e made my bat 4 pounds in weight always used big heavy bats since a kid . when i go out to bat others take piss [ how do you lift it ] ect but 4 rubbers on and near 4 pounds only down fall i recon facing short fast stuff reacting ect in seniors this dont happen that may change this term as ive took skippers job on at silky new challange lets see ..

There will be nothing above the knee roll at silky , pace mans graveyard :-) one or two of the other CL tracks might leap a bit if wet but not many

new start last throw of the dice for me bar durham seniors [ old age ] going to try and bring these youngans through hopefully and chip in myself if i can ..
in the new league now wonder if anyones using a heavy bat like mine the edge is as thick as my heed ha ..

as to track as long as its half decent you make your own luck at times in cricket well i hope so knee highs ok ... .

You will take about 3 balls to realise its always forward at silky . Never heard of a 4 pound bat , anything over 2-9 too much for me , not that I could do much with that :-)

Silky's track was never the best. Used to be quite dodghy at one point - hopefully they've improved it in the last 3-4 years.

you'll be lucky if it's that good. Batting there requires a great deal of patience.

They had big plans in the early 90's but things didn't materialise - around the same time they paid players (mercenaries) ......then couldn't get 2 sides out a couple of years back
