on a tricky wicket it bodes very well for too young batsmen to get 70 and 39 not out, especially pleasing for richardson, i know 39 is not great shakes but it is very valuable runs and at 3 very promising. he opened for the seconds and got a ton last time out, whilst there will be no result here barring an absolute miracle it is great practise for the lad.

rocky, jennings & richardson may just be the top order next year at this rate, with stokes at 4 that is alot of promise and a lot of youth moving forward

39 is very good, scores like this from Jennings and Richardson should put an end to Muchall, who is averaging about 9 this season.

aye nowt wrong with 39, just added my reasoning why i reacted to it as if he'd scored a century

whoops, richardson out on 41 - sorry

205-6

Target must be to try for 300 and get the batting points - even if it's a draw we'd move a point further clear of Lancashire.

We got max batting points at Somerset

Cheers safcdccc - was just looking at the table and if you take those away we had 9 batting points from 13 games  Remarkable how this end of season run has turned things around.

EDIT - 100 for Colly!

Amazing what happens when you drop someone who continues to fail at number 3.

OK, as it stands if we declare now with 7 down, and the game finishes as a draw (the most likely outcome), we will be 43 points ahead of Lancs. Effectively this means we can't finish any lower than second from bottom as Lancs would need to win both their remaining games with maximum bonus points, and we would have to lose without scoring any bonus points.

Surrey & Worcs look like they'll draw their respective games so next weeks fixtures between Surrey & Notts, Worcs & Warks and Middlesex & Lancs look like deciding who goes down.

Well done Colly an'arl! Another 1st class ton.

No more bonus points to play for, might as well declare and go for the win. Notice it's Keedy and Kerrigan doing the bulk off the bowling, turing much?

Thorp swinging the bat with a 4 and a 6

Bonus points finish at 110 overs

We got 7 bonus points, Lancs got 4 bonus points.
