Strauss retired from all forms of cricket
Very sad to hear. I guess all that shit with KP has done his napper in.
I can't see how Strauss and KP could have worked together in the same team again, so if the ECB wanted KP back in Strauss may well have just told them to stick it
Not judging by the presser, sounds like his poor form was the biggest deciding factor.
KP has the ECB by the short and curlies now, the team need him no question.
Don't want him back
Strauss, one of the finest captains ever for England.
You won't be the only one.
Agreed about Strauss, but he is history now, if England want to compete at the top of the game KP will have to come back in. The top order will look wafer thin otherwise in India.
I can see that.. but what if England can't compete and he has another go at them? he will walk away anyway as he is very competitive so its catch 22 really
I'm guessing these are the things that will be discussed between the ECB and KP. I'm hoping he has learned a valuable lesson in the last 2 weeks or so.

That England are screwed without him?
Personally I'd make Taylor ODI captain if Cook was Test captain too, we seem to like the whole 3 captains idea. Bearing in mind Cook wasn't even in the team when he was appointed, I don't see that being a problem for Taylor.[/QUOTE]
Slight flaw in the argument is that Taylor isn't in the ODI side!
Exactly what I was saying though, Cook wasn't in the side when he was appointed captain either. Nor was Strauss when he was ODI captain.
Any thoughts on the ECB unplanned press conference tomorrow? Strauss perhaps?
Higher level of intelligence on the cricket board, we saw right through what you were trying.![]()
