While I am sure he's delighted with his contribution, I wonder what was going through his mind when he ran Fletcher out.

Superb effort GO. He can bag the best match figures please, ten fer taken anyway

A draw wouldnt be a bad result down there although without the rain I would fancy us for the win.

I am now pretty confident we will stay up.

And a spinner.

They have two decent ones at the club but one doesnt play and the other doesnt get much of a bowl. They need to produce pitches a little more responsive to spin if Borthwick is ever to develop

Seems unlikely there'll be any play anywhere today

that would be great, havent looked at tomorrows forecast but there should be enough play today to get us into a winning position if all goes according to plan

need to pick up a few batters from somewhere for next year

either that or hope the young lads can improve. i imagine jennings is going to be given next year to show what he's got, hopefully this stint towards the end of this year will stand him in good stead. cook obviously has alot of faith in his ability, playing him ahead of muchall at this crucial stage of the season.

if jennings, richardson & wood can cement places in the team for next year thats batting ability and youth setting us up there.

stoneman, jennings, stokes, richardson, borthwick, wood, harrison, rushworth

thats the spine of a fairly solid very young side with bags of talent whilst mustard, claydon, brathwaite, smith and onions aren't exactly old.

rushworth i think in particular deserves alot of credit to come from really a bit part one day player to suddenly being our best bowler behind onions and taking alot of wickets at 14. stokes' bowling is back with a bang anarl - just when injuries looked like robbing him of that. just hope his batting can return now!

EDIT: weather looks promising for tomorrow at notts

Bad lights taken them off at Lancs v Worcs. Only another 18 overs to pick up batting and bowling points too :-D

Started on time 42/ 0

bonus

Slight problem is the sun is supposed to be blazing tomorrow, could be much better for batting

The rain today seems far more dispersed than they predicted, but worse in the west

LMC has been disabled.. i wonder if we've finally pushed our luck too far?

rocky doing very well in this match.

whoops sorry - smith gone

Considering the threat of bad weather I'd rather we had players out there scoring faster than 20.27

is jennings going to be any quicker? especially early on... you do realise that batsmen tend to start off slowly and up their strike rate once they get their eye in?

couple of big appeals their for notts turned down.
