More KP drama...

He's a saffer. They are basically a Germans with their sense of humour removed.

His average has been in decline since 2007. Last year backed the trend, but otherwise it has been dropping from the 50s to the low 40s. Perhaps he should concentrate on his batting rather than moaning.

Delay to the squad announcement

I think he was told to fuck off completely so he decided to change his mind regarding the one day/T-20 stuff.

Delay is for a meeting to see if they should allow him back.

Fuck him off and take back his British Passport(if he has one) is what I would suggest.

source plz?

Its just got to the point where you have to laugh really, back in the hands of the ECB on what they want to do about him, KP forcing them to retire him rather than doing it himself

The most interesting thing is the delay to the squad announcement, basically telegraphs the fact he'd been dropped.

I'd play him if his commitment is genuine.

I think he'll quit after the 2014/14 Ashes.

He had that achilles injury which hindered him, lost the Captaincy and developed a problem with left arm spin followed by the introduction of DRS. His average dropping is understandable TBF

The only thing he is committed to is his Bank Balance.

Agree about the delay.
Would think he'd pack in after the World Cup in 2015 if he's going to play 1 day cricket again.

he'd make more money playing 20/20 worldwide then playing for England though

He's only committed to ODIs so he can play this T20 World Cup, don't think he'll be enthused about going through to 2015.

Addidas will pay him a fair bit which probably has a playing for England clause. Plus if he left England like this his future earnings / public image when he retires would probably take a hit if he's not so popular.

He will have made the decision on money and nothing else. He may have to take a short term hit for longer term gains. He can play that IPL/Big Bash/any other tin pot competition well into his 40's.

Looking after his career afterwards if you ask me (which is fair enough)... looking at Flintoff's media jobs and thinking he can have 5/6 years on quiz shows and/or as a Sky pundit. If he left, he would be toxic (while England won... or even if he was the reason we started to lose) and Sky would leave him alone

Pietersen has committed himself to all formats of the game. Hopefully this is put to bed now.

Bit of an odd interview mind all the same.

I suspect this has come about because the media have been so unimpressed with his selfishness which has been exacerbated by the amazing performances of our Olympians. KP needs to be loved and, at the moment, the cricketing public and commentators are somewaht bored with his pathetic tantrums.

Axed from the squad:shock:

Good. Get the focus back onto a very important 3rd test and away from the Pietersen road show. Then work it out after the test series is finished. Although it looks like unless KP is the one to back down, we'll not see him in an England shirt today.

The big problem is raises is that we're probably going to go into the 3rd test with a number 5 and number 6 with 1 test cap between them, unless the selectors finally decide to pick 5 bowlers.

Something to do with sending abusive texts about Strauss and Flower according to Cricinfo. The batting order will look a lot weaker now. Fancy the Saffers to wrap this one up 2-0.

Looks very weak that, and I doubt playing Bopara would make it much better.

Only way I can see us winning is if we win the toss, and get a decent total on the board first up....and even then it would be very tight.

Drop your best batsman.

What a wonderful decision by the ECB. Once again newspaper shit-stirring wins the day.
