I remember when it used to be based on Nicholson's Estate, now long gone and overgrown, although I understand that the old club house is still there.

Belmont CC:

A club i know absolutely nothing about and in fact I didn't even know that they had a CC until recently.

Probably because the North East Durham Cricket League doesn't exist in the eyes of the main local papers. And the fact that there isn't a league website. The Echo doesn't report on the league like it does the other ones, only prints the results and top 2 division tables.

I can vouch for Belmonts teas though!

Got talking to some one at an NEPL game yesterday and mentioned Plawsworth CC. Youre right; they disbanded a few years ago. Not sure why the website is still live.

I was at the vote to disband them they went under for the sake of a few hundred pound
