Been a funny old day so far at the Oval.

Hope there's more twists coming up - like to see us have a few wickets by the close.

My thoughts exactly. He simply hasn't got the mental tools or temperament to cope with test match cricket, especially against the top teams.

He's got to be on his last chance this time.

This scenario is the exact reason I would have picked Finn over Bresnan, or at least played 5 bowlers. Can get him to bowl 4 over spells, charging in, downhill or with the breeze, 90mph trying to absolutely kill Smith and Amla.

Also, what happened to Chris Tremlett?
 
Amla and Smith make a good partnership like. 9 centuries stands in 50 innings together.

I really like Amla too, dont know why, could be his immense beard.

We need some wickets with the new ball like.
 
2nd new ball, desperate for a wicket and 2 of the first 3 balls have been less than 80mph. Most annoying. We've lacked any kind of intensity in this innings.

Working his wage back to fitness with Surrey after surgery on his back. Only played a handful of T20 games iirc.

Will have to work hard to put pressure on Finn, Onions, Dernbach, Woakes etc.

You'd be proud to have his record as a batsman or a bowler never mind both. Got to be the best all rounder ever.

Aye it was impressive like. Defo a contender for what happened next on QOS.

Its been a poor day in the field for us like. Never really looked dangerous with the ball apart from a few overs from the plastic mag.

Yeah, only really that session against Smith early on that England looked like troubling anyone.

He didn't come back with a new pair on anyway.

we struggle unless conditions are in our favour as the seamers all rely on them being in their favour, hence the need for Finn
