Fuck off Muchall, once and for all just fuck off.
This. I don't know why he's so high in the order when he only seems to have 3 shots
This. Its been a dreadful season so far with avoiding relegation the only saving grace now. The CB40 will also pass us by.That end summed up our season so far.
The club has made some bad mistakes since 2009 and one of them was to keep the same set of players around for too long. The players themselves, never mind the club, would benefit from a change of scenery and I would imagine that there will be a raft of departures over the next year or two.I wasn't even arsed to follow the game today. Which is more to do with my dislike for the competition than anything else but I'm also slightly losing my love for Durham - the club is fast becoming a farce, after years of graft and grit we're spiralling uncontrollably downwards.
I don't think this is an overreaction either - no doubt some of the happy clappers would say that it is but the same c*nts will be still saying everything is alright when we're struggling to win one game a season on Division Two!

We need to rethink the whole club from academy to first team but I'm sure that Benkenstein and Collingwood can lead the required revolution.
Couldn't agree more mate. Especially about building around Colly and Benk. I think people like Harmison, Muchall, Thorp, Blackwell and Claydon should all be let go. Theres some very average cricketers on big money at Durham. I'd get in an overseas top order batsman, possibly and opener. Then try and sign a decent English top order batsman. In the bowling department I'd have Harrison, Onions, Brathwaite and Plunkett playing regular, providing Pudsey can stop off the drink as get that action sorted!
I just want it to work for Plunkett. It's amazing to think that he burst onto the international scene taking wickets and batting well too! Now it all seems to have just gone, it must be so frustrating for him because if he continued to improve as he gained experience he would for me no doubt have been an England regular.
I'd give him a chance on the basis of him having such rapid pace and batting ability, if someone can sort his action which England's coaches fucked up, he could be a great player for us.

I would hate to think we go out and sign someone like Franks. I know we have signed older established players before (Blackwell) but much of our success is based around bringing through talented young players (our bowling attack in particular) and complementing the side with some very shrewd Kolpaks/EU Passports (ie. Diva and Benks).
I really think we need to start again. It happens when you have such a dominant side as its very difficult to start chopping and changing such a good side when they are winning most games.
I would keep as we are bowling wise. We have Onions, Plunkett, Harmison (maybe), Brathwaite, Claydon, Harrison, Rushworth etc who I think are pretty strong in terms of a seam attack. We have Borthwick as a twirly who seems to be a very bright prospect too. The problems are with the batting. I would love to see us start giving these 2nd team lads (and even top young local cricketers) a chance up the order. Diva is gone, Benks may be next, leaving us with Stoneman, Smith, Muchy etc. None of these set the world on fire but I would like 1 or 2 of them to be in the side, with Colly, and another couple of young lads (with an overseas of money permits)
I'd chase Harmison as far away as possible.
