Here is the link for my commentary of Durham's final T20 group match at home to Lancashire.
Join me from 2.30pm on BBC Newcastle - online only.
Having looked at the league tables it would appear Durham have to do better today than what Essex manage at Hampshire in order to scrape into the last eight as one of the best third-placed teams.
However if they do that they will have to play away again at one of the group winners, something which has lead to embarrassing defeats at Kent and Hampshire in the last two years.
But I suppose they can cross that bridge if they get to it. They have to win today first and hope other results go their way!

Cheers mate.

If we do somehow squeak through I wouldn't fancy a trip to Arundel in the Quarters.

let's just try and win the game first. a place in the 1/4 finals would be a huge boost to the club

Essex game delayed by rain, typical it being the TV game

What are the respective NRRs? If we win and Essex are rained off we're equal on points aren't we?

Edit - we need to up our RR by 0.25 in that scenario. What does that translate into in terms of balls (winning batting second) or runs?

I'm surprised it wasn't our game that was on Sky, with the whole Sky team already being in the north east from the ODI yesterday.

Yep. Essex are on -0.032 and we're on -0.284. I dunno how these things are worked out though, so how much would we have to win by?

God knows...Ive gone to the pub in a huff as the cricket was delayed, but we are looking good at the moment.

Essex 5 Down.

134 needed.

Last over went for 15, could be costly.

To improve out NRR by 0.25 we need to win inside 19 overs. 18.4 overs or before, ideally.

I think

I'm probably been simplistic but their run rate is 6.7 runs per over so we need 6.96 which is 18.5 overs to get 134. Right?

Does your run rate not average out over the entire season?

Can't get Martin Emmersons commentary do nee idea.

Ian Ward reckons 15.2 overs

Do the players know this? The way they're batting wouldn't suggest so

Sunny in Hampshire now.

Stokes might do...6 and Out.

Need Hamps v Essex to go ahead and Hampshire to win, and obviously we need a win.
