LVCC D1 - Durham v Warwickshire

He's certainly making a case for being dropped.

Is it the case that Cook doesn't want to bring the youngsters into the team that's facing a lot of negativity? Other wise I can't understand Muchall's inclusion.

It's odd because at the other end, we've seen Harrison and Rushworth appear in the first team recently yet it's the same faces in the batting lineup.

Someone in match chat trying desperately to convince themselves;

"class is permanent form is temporary, cut the guy some slack"

User name muchallg?

Ive got no axe to grind with him at all but the stats don't lie.

Has Muchall looked class? Sure if he has he'd be a permanent fixture not a bench warmer?

He had some form early last season but I can't ever say I've noticed much class from him.

Good to see Harrison get another good knock with the bat.

106-6 at the moment

We'll win.

Ball will be swinging about like mad in these conditions. We've seen them collapse once.

Anything over 220 will be enough.

I would have liked a 300 lead to be more sure

Other half is at the game as she says about 240-250. Very difficult batting conditions she said.

If it's going to be like this for the rest of today and some of tomorrow I'd be tempted to declare now. No-one will want to bat in this weather. Put the shits up them, and show some adventure at least. Will be the easy option to try and tough it out until mid-morning tomorrow.

Just back in from the match, hats off to the Warks bowlers, bowled very tight, only Muchall seemed to throw his wicket away with a mis-judged shot, Benkinstein seemed to where I was sitting got one that lifted off a length, hope Collingwood is not injured.
