Who has Knight replaced in the commentary box ? Why does KP dislike him so much ?

thanks

Havent watched enough of the first test to know if he replaced anyone or just added him to the team but lets face it, nick knight is the most run of the mill, banal, talk in cliches dullard on the team, sticks out like a sore thumb on the test team where everyone, bar botham, is an expert analyst and very interesting, whilst botham is always value for money.

i totally agree with KP and if it had been anyone else from the team tweeting this it would have been ignored, if it had been swanny for example it would probably have been lapped up.

commentators make a living critiscising players yet the first sign of something the other way and why? because knight is employed by sky and sky have the sword over every sport because of the amount of money they pour in.

What was said??

KP tweeted something along the lines of 'how has nick knight worked his way into commentating test matches? its ridicoulous'

and he is right, he is one of the poorer of the bunch of county commentators, mark butcher especially is great value and insightful and even rob key, much as he's a tosser, makes worthwile & interesting comments.

Aye I like Mark Butcher, crap batsman but decent commentator

suprised Nic Knight jumped off the fence long enough to critcise anyone!

anar :lol: the last person you'd expect to offend anyone he is the king of mundane.

'Fiery' types like bob willis and boycoutt make a living slagging people off and remain unscathed, probably rightly too scared to criticise them. Proper grumpy old men them too

Willis and Boycott walked the walk, what did Knight ever do in comparison

Iirc it goes back to a TV interview over the Winter where Knight was critical of KP for not making any runs. KP tried to put him in his place by telling him about his ODI and T-20 runs, you could see he was pissed off at the time.

I can see Knight being banished back to co-commentating with Charles Coleville on the CB40 for the rest of the summer.

I hope they don't let Pietersen destroy his career like that. He should grow up and learn to take the criticism as well as the plaudits. Knight is very easy listening and I like him.

Botham is the weak link in the box as he has been since Willis and Allott were relegated. The fact he got 380 wickets thirty years ago should mean nowt.

Botham is poor he has become the pundit he hated in his playing days
