Having the last day of the test on a Monday is a f***ing joke.

Watched the fucker all weekend then had to miss final part because of work. They should start on a Thursday and end Saturday/Sunday.

Blame the Windies for showing some fight and resistance, the bloody cheek of it. What do they think it is FFS?;-)

I remember in 2000 we mullered them at Headingley in 2 days.

Think yourself lucky they do. At one time tests started on Thursday and finished on Tuesday with Sunday being a day off.

True. Their bowling attack does seem a lot more potent now than it has been in recent years. Roach is a very good opening bowler, and Edwards is more than useful if he can stop getting injured. Gabriel has impressed in this game and they have Rampaul out injured at the moment.

They do however seem to be missing a good spinner, although didn't Shillingford impress when they played Australia recently?

He did, I haven't seen him play but I've been really impressed by Sunil Narine in the IPL. I know it's only T20 but there's a lot of players who've struggled to read his doosra including Tendulkar and Jayawardene who are slightly better players of spin than the England team.

Heard an interview with Morgan and he said he'd been playing him in the nets for more than 4 weeks and he still couldn't pick him every ball.

shillingford took 10 wickets in his last test match, can only assume they dropped him because it was lords. still a mistake but hindsight and all that

Read today that he was dropped because it was too cold

They reckoned he couldn't grip the ball properly but is ok now so in the running for Friday. I know he produced good results v the Aussies but I haven't seen him play and I have been impressed by Narine. Bit worried about him laying against England in the ODI's actually.

 I must have misheard when I heard that on Sky and thought they said he had a cold, which isn't much better actually.
