Shite...

He is our best keeper when a fully fit

People had made their mind up before he played a game because he cost £9m. Same as Bendtner when he signed

Not at all..

I made my mind when up he started consistently staying on his line on corners..;-)

What a bizarre statement.
Clueless

Well that makes me as clueless as you then if you think he's good...

I would rather the goalkeeper state on his line, and come when he knows he is going to get it.

At Sunderland, people think a keeper is commanding when he comes for everything and gets nowhere near it. If in doubt, let the defence deal with it.

A cracking keeper when match fit.

How come when a outfield player comes back from injury we have everyone saying stuff like,
" first game back, its to be expected. ",
" ohh he's rusty, give him a game or two and he will be back to his best ",

etc etc etc.

But with keepers its make one mistake this match he is shite!

Keepers get a raw deal, gordon had a good game and quick feet saved Bridge from getting all the stick with a shocking back pass.

best example of this is De Gea, used to come whilst getting used to the league and was outmuscled. Doesn't anymore and is a cracking keeper recently. Gordon's the same, doesn't have to come out its the defence's responsibility

it's when he stays on his line when he HAS to come and deal....a la Davies' second. He had acres of time to come out but he doesn't judge crosses very well. Usually, a play7er coming back, I'd give him time, but it was a major problem before he was injured and I don't see it getting better any time soon.

Totally agree De Gea was branded shit after a couple of games , Gordon had no dodgey moments today at all. Caught everything he went for

He didn't do anything today to decisively assert his status as number one. I'd be tempted to give him a run until the end of the season, but I just don't see him as being significantly better than Mig in any way.

you only appear on Gordon threads tbf

2nd goal was horrific goalkeeping.

Ball comes in on the 6 yard box and a goalkeeper HAS to come for it, Gordon was rooted to the spot as usual.

A good 'Directly in front of you shot stopper' but positionally useless, scared shitless of crosses and can't kick a ball up field for toffee. No need for a tin hat, if we could get a fee, which we can't of course, he'd be worth less than half we've paid.

For the dissenters, I'd like to hear arguments for incoming crosses (against his static positioning), his positional ability with regards to set pieces and central play as well as any defence that can be given for some of the worst kicking (Minger aside) in the league.

So there

 his kicking today was much much better than Mignolet's.

If he is so shit on crosses, how did he catch every single ball he had to deal with today?
