Re: Craig Gordon

if he does start today, is it a sign that he may be offered a new contract afterall... if not I don't see the point tbh

Re: Craig Gordon

No he isn't.

He is like. I think Mig deserves the number 1 spot as he has earned it, have no reason to drop him. Westwood is massively over rated, only played about 5 games and made a few good saves but also some very poor keeping. I'd take Gordon over mig ability wise but Mig deserves the spot.

Re: Craig Gordon

Not sure how anyone can say gordon is the better keeper unless theyve seen all his reserve outings, lads been injured for the last few years more or less

obviously i hope he can still do the bis but theres no guarantee he is teh same keeper he was

Re: Craig Gordon

yes he is. The only doubt with him is not his keeper skills but can he keep fit?

Mig in a year or 2 if he keeps progressing will be a cracking keeper, not quite there yet.

I heard last night Gordon was starting but I thought it was just a whined up, maybe some truth after all ( still doubt it though )

MON said they want to see him play before sorting a contract out.

These rumours were doing the rounds a couple of yeras ago if I remember rightly.

Quinn was quick to dispel them by writing in the programme that no such clauses were in place.

This.

People who talk about these clauses will happily slate CG as £9m wasted, so it's either we paid £9m or he hasn't hit clauses. Some people need to decide...

Re: Craig Gordon

fairy muff.

given the initial cost - this should have been sorted out with an extension two years ago, or a sale.

I remember Bruce saying they spoke about contracts but Gordon had a knee injury so try put it on hold.

There have been rumours of 1m owed.

Yet just a few weeks back safc.com published an article saying he'd played 94 games (I think it was, maybe 93, sorry can't remember the exact figure, but it was a few below 100).

If there was such a clause it would be likely to be triggered by the 100th game, so he would have a small handful of games he could play. Some evidence to corroborate this theory would be his inclusion on the bench.
so adding his wages to fee 200k + per appearance
