So why do so many people do it that way?
Are people, the minority, who take drugs actually the most enlightened ones?

It's a worry to see the attitude of a lot of the younger people on here regarding drugs, they're almost saying that we are the naive and stupid ones.

Keeps more people away from addiction?
Tell me this, if you have kids will you take them for a lite ale at a certain age? Will you encourage drug use?

i wouldnt mind at all if my kid was taking drugs. as long as they arent stupid and keep off shit like heroin. i wouldnt be rushing them out to give them some coke for the first time but if theyre taking it id have no problem having a line with them. as long as they know how to go on, what to keep away from and more importantly know their limits then i dont see a problem at all

So yes but dependant on lots of conditions.
Quite embarrassing how many users on here would let their kids get involved. I don't actually believe them like, I think they just want to protect their point of view.

Are they a majority?

Economists? Yes, thats for sure.

Police officers is roughly a 50/50 split from those I know.

MPs? We'll never know. Same as we'll never know what % support the monarchy, as it's an area they're reluctant to touch due to public opinion.

But I think if a motion ever was put before the house to legalise most drugs, bar the strongest, it would probably pass- but that's 100% speculation on my part!

Safer than alcohol mate, every scientific study has shown that.

From wiki:
A large, unselected population-based study, published in British Journal of Psychiatry (2008), examined cannabis use and prodromal symptoms of psychosis at age 15–16 years and concluded that cannabis use was associated with prodromal symptoms of psychosis in adolescence

I think you are mate.

I don't think people should take drugs, or certainly not in excess, same as alcohol.

But I think you're naive and stupid to think simply banning them solves the problem.

same with booze. alcohol is afterall a destructive drug but as long as you dont go stupid with it then youll be fine. id like me kids to know how to go on with drink and to know their limits, same with illegal drugs

Can I see proof of this?

Aye mate, and what do the reports on alcohol consumption in teenagers say?

That article says it all mate.

Ok, give me five minutes.

FYI I don't take drugs, in my entire life I've had 2 ecstasy tablets, generally smoke cannabis once a month or so and actually in the last 6 months haven't had anything.

There has to be some vices around, alcohol is part of our society and has been widely and popularly used for centuries (opium has not). None of us know the long term effects of illegal drugs, certainly not on the brain for starters.

because it's the norm. would you rather go out with your son and get absolutely arseholed, or sit in having a spliff and chewing the fat and having a laugh.

i love drink mate and don't partake in drugs for the record.

That knocking you can hear is social services at the door.
It's not someone trying to climb out of the TV.

I don't have kids and by kids I meant if they were aged 16 - 18.

Medical studies do know this
