Are you making the ridiculous assumption that I must take drugs to argue the case for their legalisation?
And you're 24 with supposedly a good job? Something is obviously lacking, you seem unfilled pal. There are far better ways to spend your time. Time to grow up and open your mind I reckon. I bet you couldn't go 6 months without taking drugs could you?
So why don't they do it?
They want to tax pasties.
easily. unless you include fags and alcohol in that, then no chance
The younger lot have made themselves look like a right bunch of naive stupid bellends on this thread in my opinion.
Haha, see what I mean?
Weak as fuck.
I'll leave it there - just think about what I've been saying and consider making a change. I guarentee you'll feel shitloads better, trust me I've done it.

Nothing of the sort. We're basing our arguments on good science and hard facts. You're basing yours on an innate societal prejudice.
what good science and hard facts? I have asked for them and you have given none. The basic premis of you lots flimsy arguments are that we should legalise 'drugs' (type unspecified) because people drink booze. I have explained the historical and social context alcohol has in our society compared to drugs, which is why they have no place in our society but you can't seem to accept it. Just because one drug is legal and accepted for centuries, it does not justify legalising others.

hard facts like prohibition is totally unworkable especially on relatively harmless substances like ecstacy. its a waste of time keepign them illegal, what does it achieve?
Keeps more people away from addiction?
Tell me this, if you have kids will you take them for a lite ale at a certain age? Will you encourage drug use?
Why we should legalise drugs.
(i) More people die as a result of drug abuse because it's illegal. Drugs are currently cut with rat poison etc. which risks lives. If they were legal and cut with something safe they'd be less dangerous. In the US under prohibition the number of people who died from alcohol poisoning increased hugely as peopel drank moonshine rather than proper drinks.
(ii) Where the money from drug sales goes. Currently, it funds criminals, who then use the money for things like trafficking kids etc. If it legal and taxed it would fund the health service, but currently there's no tax receipts from drugs.
(iii) It is economically inefficient to have them illegal. Think about the policing costs we currently have and still any idiot can get drugs. What about the drug gang wars etc.
(iv) There's no regulation on who gets drugs. Its just as easy to get it age 12 as it is age 30.
(v) Evidence suggests abuse rates fall with decriminalisation (eg. Portugal 50% fall in heroin abuse rates when decriminalisation took place. Treat it as a problem and not a crime and then you're half way to dealing with the problem).
Not to mention the moral argument, which imo, is key. If I want to take drugs and I know the risks, who are you to tell me not to? If I pay take on the drug and fancy having an E tablet every now and then or a joint, why shouldn't I?
How are these 6 people any different to alcohol companies? (In terms of the dealing, not the fact they're probably involved in other crime).
You ignored the figures we posted that were published in the Lancet then?
you must have little about you if this is how you see things. walking round thinking your all superior cos you didnt wank for 6 months so you must be some great strong and enlightened bloke. think id rather get pissed up every now and then get a regular shag tbh
is that because it's legal, or socially acceptable. either way you could be introducing them inadertantly to a life destroying poison.

So why do so many people do it that way?
Are people, the minority, who take drugs actually the most enlightened ones?
