Drug dealers locked up

It's not just 'a drug', it's an illegal drug. People would stop their selfish habit very quickly if there was a deterrent.

Why should the rest of us put up with people acting over the top and spoiling the atmosphere, or zonked in a corner like a zombie making everyone feel uncomfortable because of illegal substance abuse?

I don't think we'd need the space, as soon as a few examples were made people would quickly stop.

You think, I don't.

How often are people hauled in for being under the influence of coke?

Never, of you rolled out your plan they would have to surround every social gathering in the country and test them.

Week two of that would end up with riots due to a breach of civil liberties and after that the pub trade would be on its knees while people sat at home with mates doing lines and drinking cans.

It's a unrealistic view mate fact.

from those descriptions i dont think you have much of an idea about it tbh. i dont see how its a selfish 'habit'. for most drug users it isnt even a habit. theres also plenty of 'legal highs' out there these days that mimic illegal drug effects, sometimes better than the illegal stuff. anyway i think its fairly obvious that for any crime a deterrent doesnt really work, people never think its them that will be caught. how would you catch them anyway? mandatory national drug tests once a week then send them off to some massive island prison?

I do have an idea about it, I have been with others on here as well when we have witnessed it first hand.

Easy to 'catch them, if they are smoking drugs in public, caught snorting in the shitters etc. Obviously what people do in private is up to them, my measures are merely designed at protecting the public who choose not to break the law. It's clear you don't understand that.

seems to be getting more like this anyway with stupid prices and the smoking ban

You're a strange man, not sure if you're serious.

I could do a lump of coke in front of you in a pub and you would even notice

Snorting cocaine is not a civil liberty and the pub trade would not die if 'users' didn't turn up. Most people I know do not get fucked out of their box on drugs, we mix in different circles.

ive seen hundreds of people falling all over the place, being sick in pubs and streets, pissing all over the place, fighting etc. due to alcohol, the amount of drunken behaviour that makes people uncomfortable all the time is there for anyone to see. i dont think ive ever gone to a pub or club and seen people 'zonked in the corner like zombies' from illegal drugs (plenty totally fucked and unable to move from drink like, including meself more than once). sitting talking or dancing yes.

Course it is and a massive zero tolerance would finish it off because you would have to hassle the life out of the non drug takers.

I am one and it would stop me going out if I was getting hauled in for testing every few weeks

oh yes it would and nightclubs would be gone overnight

Yes but they'd have to do a test on everyone to separate who is and isn't.

How do you spot a recreational drug user?

i dont bother with pubs that much now like. happy to sit int he house with some cans or bottles of wine and fags, or few joints/lines if ive got any

they sit in the corner of a room shaking and muttering to themselves or they run around naked thinking theyre bart simpson. obviously, the sun said so

I'd move to the other side of the room, it's not very nice being around people blitzed on coke.

Give over, I hardly know anyone who takes it, perhaps you and your mates do but...

i really dont think you realise how widespread drugs are. in any nightclub most people are on drugs. go to the match and loads of people are on drugs. most city pubs have plenty of drug users.

It's an absurd suggestion. I can spot someone pissed a mile off. Coke you would struggle.

No they wouldn't have to do a test ad hoc, that's something/a scenario you've made up. If they get caught snorting/smoking in public or being an annoyance then a quick test back at the station/mobile van could be performed. I am thinking of protecting the innocent public who don't take illegal substances, you seem to think people snorting/smoking illegal substances should be protected by civil liberties?

You will probably be surrounded by people full of coke at the match.

Cocaine abusers always say that as it makes them feel more comfortable.

I doubt that as well, just because you and your pals take it, don't think it's massively common, it's not.

No I think pulling someone they suspect might be on gear is a breach of civil liberties and the opposite of law.

You are suggesting that you are guilty until you take the test and are proven innocent. In court you are innocent until proven guilty mate that's a fact.

You start doing that to folk pulling them in you'd have massive problems on a street full of angry pissheads.
