Alright, few of you know I'm out here for the first test so thought I'd start it off.

Reckon about 2,000 English out here. Big scandal are the prices - previous tours have cost £1 a day but this time it's £2.50 locals and £25 English. People really unhappy and saying it goes against ICC code against discrimination. Boycott being organised by the independent travellers. There may be a lot watching from The Fort on day 1.

ps watch out for a Poledancer tribute flag hanging from The Fort. Haven't seen it but by all accounts it's a belter.

Is the Fort that building overlooking the ground?

Just got up in time to see the Anderson run out, looks like we've made a really good start here, the pitch doesn't look like it's turning a great deal (yet) which might play right into our hands.

The ground looks pretty full, so I assume the pricing issues have been sorted out.

5th wicket down and England should be in the driving seat. However, having seen us against spin of late its hard to tell.

NCB. We were out there a month ago and were talking with the tuk tuk drivers and they were saying prices would be high. Thats when we wondered if they would shut the fort off, as that offers tremendous views free of charge.

Is the Fort that building overlooking the ground?

Aye. part of it. The fort is actually massive and has a load of sights and places to see within it.

Aye I'm in that group.

We've just left to watch it in a bar - heat was insane. Reckon the majority of English in ground today slipped in for free. We walked in through a restaurant before start of play, loads of pass backs going on.

You are basically sitting on patches of dirt during the game.

Good run out there from Strauss, 191-7

Nice to see Jimmy getting wickets on the sub-continent as well, although I'm sure someone will have something to say on that

Bit like Houghton then?
