I don't really read his threads but surely it's pretty mild fishing stuff?

Must be, the SMBCC reckon he's actually a knowledgeable and canny lad when they met him on the Essex tour.

I've a feeling he just plays up to a persona now, which is a shame.

Indeed.

Despite his feelings about the poor standard of test cricket (which are more than justified) I can't understand why he seems to revel in trying to prove others wrong and never seems to enjoy an England win.

He's like the cricketing version of some of the knackers off the PF :-?

In my humble opinion this board went down hill during the Ashes when what was a small difference of opinion on two particular players was then bought up in every topic to which other posters who were new to the board then jumped on the bandwagon and you have what you have today

Shall we call it the saj effect then :?:

;-)

I dont understand why people bite to EBs crack, i just chose to ignore it as all he's aiming for is people to get riled up. He's not a bad poster outside of the cricket board.

Either way, it's easier just to rise above it.

I once tried to post on this very fine Cricket section, and was promptly told to fuck off!

I love me cricket aswell. :-(

Get yourself down to a game, bring your pads!!!!!

IMO some people think he is actually serious in what he says and dont realise he is on a massive fishing trip

Yep - i'm one of them. Ive been on here from the start and hes always been clear on his opinions. He didnt rate Jimmy, he did rate SAJ, he didnt rate Swann, hes always rated Bell etc. Yes there are 'wind ups' within that but they are simply an extension of his own opinions.

Have put a post at the top of the forum. No stalkerish Jimmy debates from now on.

NCB can you clarify, it IS acceptable to have an opinion;

A. That is different to other posters'
B. That isn't necessarily completely positive (IE If you feel someone is playing shite, your allowed to mention that on here without risking upsetting other posters?)

Aye?

Course, sticky post refers to the fact that basically every debate has been turning into a debate about Jimmy Anderson then getting personal afterwards. Ruining the place.
