and goodbye to steve harmison?

his impact in his last few games has been virtually nil but for conceding runs at 6 an over

we have a few lads who could come into the championship team, such as brathwaite, rushworth, stokes, borthwick and breese, with especially in the last three, the added extra of batting and fielding

nothing against harmison but he looks well shot to me and maybe has his eye on being a commentator with sky, which imo, he is very canny at

No. After a couple of poor games?

It's up to him. If he wants to I'm sure he can still bag wickets

we shall see of course but the league is going to be tight this season and durham cant afford to many more games, where harmy bowls about 20 overs in the game at 6 an over.

those other lads showed in the early season, they could take wickets

He's even said himself that his body is starting to let him down but I think he's earned a bit of time and loyalty from the club, and I still think he could be dangerous on his day. Despite advancing years he offers Durham something that not many bowlers in the country can, awkward and dangerous bounce at good pace.

never mind that. lancs are 128 for 10 8-)

i agree, he can be that bowler but his recent performances are not up to standard and with the league being tight, we cant afford to carry him for much longer.

now stokes is back on the scene, someone will have to step aside

You will probably see him play less and less, they will "rest" him more due to the condition of his body.

He's picked up an ankle injury yesterday so I think that will see him give way to Stokes for the next game.

Ideal for Durham would be him retiring at the end of the season. Free up some cash to keep colly.

 Certain irony in that. Why not use the cash to nab an up and coming star from one of our rivals?

I expected him to play against Sri Lanka A to try to find a bit of form. As it is after his latest performances any of Claydon, Thorpe, Plunkettt, etc should be well pissed off to be dropped for him.

He was going to play, but fucked his ankle on a football in the warm up
