Nee chance I would think

C'mon Notts. Hogg in the wickets again already

Only 3 points for Lancs if they lose

Thats the ideal scenario now. Would wipe out their game in hand and leave us still at the top. Notts 20-1 which is effectively 44-1, I hope they bat till tea tomorrow!!

Edit, 56-2, which is a lead of 80 now.

Hopefully the conditions favour batting for the rest of the day and Notts can get a good lead.

Also, how are Notts so off the pace this season?

Its surprising and the same can be said of Somerset. Having said this, if there was one side you had to chose to go head to head with in the run in for the title it would be Lancs. Always likely to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, or have it snatched from them in a deluge or 9!!

Warwickshire are right up there as well and it should be an intetesting end to the season for the big prize.

I suppose people may have said that same about us last season, but we were ruined by injury. Although I've not heard anything of either Notts or Somerset having many injuries.

Notts are effectively 158-5 at the minute

They should play at Keswick. The weather would suit them
Nice ground like. Didn't it win most beautiful setting in the Cricketer a few years back?

Rubbish! Bruce out!!! Oh, hang on...

Nobody else is good enough to take advantage in the long term.
And I think this match is exhibit A in the case for the prosecution...whoever wins it.

Ah, but they wouldn't be the first county to play outside their borders.;) Come to think of it, is OT technically in Lancashire still?

I suppose it would technically be in Greater Manchester.

Nope. Technically Lancs don't play any home games - OT is in Greater Manc, Southport and Liverpool in Merseyside.

Still part of the old Paladine though but.

Even under the old boundaries, Keswick would have been Cumberland and not Lancs, and its the old boundaries that both the ECB and the FA use, hence why Yorks used to play in Boro and Durham used Stockton and Hartlepool.

Notts 210 for 8 now with a lead of 234. That was the highest innings of the match so far.

225 for 9. Lead at 249. Only a few overs left tonight. About 6 left and 4 if there is a change of innings. 250 plus will hopefully be too much to chase down for Lancs.

All out 233. Lancs will need 258 to win. Not sure if thats stumps. Would be nice to see them have to bat a tricky over tonight.

8/0 at the close, 250 required tomorrow.

With a significantly weakend lower middle order. ;)

Where did I say Keswick was in Lancs? Just said it would suit them

Tough ask this, but bet the wicket will suddenly flatten out, and they'll knock them off for the loss of 2
