the cd im on about was the trampspotting cd that came about the same time as the film trainspotting and was basically a take off the choose life track.

This was done by the same lad who did lalas fanzine. He also used to dj at a well known bar in town and play a lot of songs that had an anti sunderland chant attached to it.

To me though it was all seen as a bit of a laugh and not some venomous attack. Like I said, harmless piss take and to be expected in a local rivalry.

relegations are and should be celebrated with glee and the rightfull piss taking.

Nothing will ever beat the day both sunderland and boro got relegated and we qualified for the champions league.

Yeah its born of hatred but the content is not hatred. Thats what I honestly think the differnce is between the two sets of fans ( not all but majority ) We tend to just take the piss more whereas with Sunderland its more of a hatred that comes through. I suppose thats where the bitter tag comes from. Like I said it was easy for us to take the piss back i the 90's and this piss taking would breed more hatefull undercurrents from sunderland.

worked at idols and still dj's in town, not toon army news though, thats the friend of the krays if im not mistaken.

Of course it's not. SAFC were for the most part a joke team and it genuinely was a piss take. So really it's no shock you lot have a deep hatred for all things black and white brought over by a massive inferiority complex because for a while we were so far superior.

I really think that's what sets us apart. You despise NUFC, we mock SAFC. Simples. At a time when you've actually been slightly superior, the SAFC fanbase has still constantly provided us with many opportunities to continue our mocking so I thank you lot for that. ;)

There has never been a greater display of hatred.
Were you at St James Park new years day 1985? The hatred for our black players was incredible.
I have lived in Whickham and surrounds for 90% of my life, all Mag heartlands and heard it everyday. Even non football fans hate Sunderland for no apparent reason. it is a proud boast of many that they have never been to Sunderland.
