Anybody any idea who much players are getting paid for playing in this league, obviously the best are getting more but would have thought most if not all players would be getting paid

Also how do they fund this, cant be taking that much in payment from the turnstile or sponsors surely?

I think they were allowed to pay x amount ofplayers £75 per game on top of the pro. may be different now

anywhere between £100 - £200

some payments will be heavily incentivised whereas other will be flat fees.

donations and club functions usually pay for the paid pros

old work coleague Steve Meek told me he gets £5k per year at Kimblesworth or something. Canny lad, decent cricketer although bit of a sore loser

We have 6/7 paid players at our club. Wouldn't know the amounts, but in some cases it is at least partly incentivised. 3 of those are qualified coaches who put a bit back into the club in that way too.

Our cricket section is independant from the main club though, so the funding will come through sponsorship and cricket events.

Which club is it?

Sunderland

I was always under the impression that about 4 or 5 were actually being paid (Ash and 3 or 4 others).

I'd be interested to see whether this can be sustained. I know that it costs a lot to keep the strip to PL standards...not sure whether Ashbrooke will keep paying for this in the long run,,,suspect will need more "events" to fund the cricket section.

By the way, the outfield is an embarrassment.

Prem clubs will also require electronic scoreboards in a couple of years too. Why teams should be putting money into this and not youth development I don't know.

It's a lot better now than it was in April, but as long as there is the rugby and split festival, its never going to be decent.

Doubt Brandon have the facilities for the senior league never mind the PL;-)

Beter than a lot in the senior league. Wickets that good we get Durham 2nds, top quality covers and score box, decent screens, thriving clubhouse, first class committe.
