Lets hear it. Not what it will be, but what would you pick

Strauss
Cook
Trott
Bell
Taylor
Morgan
Prior
Bresnan
Swann
Tremlett
Anderson

ok...maybe replace Taylor with KP given its a big series, but he is struggling to keep his place at the moment for me

Exactly the same, KP is under pressure but it's a massive series.

There's no way they will drop KP but I'm amazed his position hasn't been questioned more in both formats of the game. For all the criticism Cook, Trott and Bell have recieved in the ODI team, it's KP who's gone 3 years without a 50 over hundred. Mind, as much as I rate Taylor, he's not scored a hundred yet this season in division 2 cricket.

To be honest, the Taylor comment was a little tongue in cheek. For a huge series I would probably stick with KP and hope he comes through.

For Taylor you could also read Hildreth and Stokes (if he had not got injured and had carried on his form)

Yeah mate I could tell it was a bit tongue in cheek but really there should be some doubt over KP's place. They won't drop him and I don't think I would just yet but perhaps he needs the shock of not being an automatic pick for the test team. Taylor will be a star of the future but unsure if he is quite ready at the moment, I think Stokes and Hales could have pushed their way ahead of the likes of Hildreth, Taylor and Bopara.

I agree on KP, he needs a kick up the arse. Same with Broad really, both world class players potentially but need to realise they dont automatically get a game.

I'm not sure on Stokes and Hales yet, in fact seen nowt of Hales. Both need another season realistically. Hildreth and Taylor next in line imho

He does need a kick up the arse, whether it has any effect or not will be hard to say, he doesn't look in terrible form, he just has a knack of getting out which is worrying. I really can't put my finger on why he isn't performing, motivation seems to crop up but apparently he still practise's as hard as ever and it's not like he ever seems to get out to a good ball either

Broad is a more worrying case for me as I think there's not been much improvement since he came into the test team, absolutely capable of getting top batsmen out, but all to rare does he bowl well enough for it to happen. KP was a class act from the moment he walked in the team, Broad wasn't and 4 years later still does not look anywhere near it on a consistent basis.

I cant disagree with a single word of that
