It wasnt just the 51 runs he scored not out, it was the fact he also seen out a lot of overs from our openers who normally get a couple of wickets in their first spell. From what I remember, when he retired they were 101ish for 0 from 14 overs, then after 30 overs they were 141 for 5.

Hawka has been a first teamer at at least coast league level since he was about 14 probably, playing senior league and premier league since he left houghton. I reckon he only played today cause it was houghton. Bit shit really because it spoils it for everyone else

i'm starting to sound like a brandon lad here but f***ing hell, scoring a 100 not out for the 1sts in the senior league and then opening for the 3rds is just cheating.. i know we got well bum fucked but f***ing hell.

was shaun who played today, couldnt believe it when i seen him there, spoke to ian for a bit, he was saying he shaun was only playing because he had been injured for the last few weeks and just wanted sometime at the crease, which i think is bullshite like, nbecause im sure ive seen his name in the Sunday Sun. Never the less, i think there bowling attack was very good aswell, thought the opener looked sharp, and the young spinner actually spun the ball, which is rare!

Yeah, it shouldn't take away from the fact that their young uns outplayed us. And Phili were good on retiring Hauxwell to be fair to them and have done everything by the book. Makes you wonder what you have to do for a dispensation application to be rejected...
