He would have got double that today if he did not retire (he was out lbw iirc ). I may not represent the views of the rest of us today, but personally speaking I felt it but a dampener on our bowling, fielding and possibly (tin hat on) result. It wasnt just the 51 runs he scored not out, it was the fact he also seen out a lot of overs from our openers who normally get a couple of wickets in their first spell. From what I remember, when he retired they were 101ish for 0 from 14 overs, then after 30 overs they were 141 for 5.
